The instructor will deliver practical cybersecurity training to students from beginner and advanced levels. The role requires someone who can explain cybersecurity concepts clearly, run hands-on class exercises, and connect security topics to strong networking fundamentals.
The ideal candidate must be resident in Lekki or nearby environs for ease of commuting and must be available to teach onsite at the HiiT Lekki branch.
Qualifications: - Practical experience in Cybersecurity and N+ is mandatory. - Solid skills in teaching/training to effectively communicate technical concepts to students. - First Degree in Computer Science or related fields. - Relevant certifications in Cybersecurity, CEH and CompTIA N+ is an advantage. - Must be resident in Lekki or nearby environs.
Key responsibilities: - Teach cybersecurity classes to beginner and advanced learners. - Facilitate practical labs, demonstrations and hands-on exercises. - Explain core cybersecurity concepts in a clear, structured way. - Teach relevant networking fundamentals, including N+ level concepts - Support students during practical sessions and help them troubleshoot lab tasks - Prepare or adapt class materials, exercises and examples where needed
What you will bring
- Practical experience in Cybersecurity and N+
- Experience with practical tools such as Kali Linux, Wireshark, firewalls, SIEMs or vulnerability scanners
- Solid teaching/training skills to communicate technical concepts effectively
- First Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Resident in Lekki or nearby environs
- Available for onsite part-time contract teaching at HiiT Lekki
Helpful, not essential
- Relevant certifications in Cybersecurity, CEH or CompTIA N+
- Experience creating cybersecurity labs or class materials
- Prior instructor or technical training experience
